Bench Monday

My siblings and I used to play a game we called “Bee Sea” in which we had to get from one side of the room to another without touching the carpet, aka a sea of bees.

   my brother and i played the same sort of game but with paper plates
   thrown in in the expanses that were too far a span to reach from sofa
   to chair. i think we called it ‘islands’ and it seemed to come from when
   my mom would mop.

   love the visual of this; the humor, the furniture and the story all made me smile.
