Playing with bokeh and dof here in early morning light, these are the tiny new leaves sprouting from the center top of a Mexican Bird of Paradise plant. The leaves will become paired tiny green ovals along each branchlet. Each branchlet will become about 10″ wide at the widest and about a foot long.

This plant will have pale yellow flowers, frilly orchid-like.
