W5RAn best-of-wknd: Mimetite Up Close

Mimetite is a favorite mineral and the crystal forms usually appear as small balls of concentrated crystals radiating out from perfect spheres. The most common color is orange with yellow highlights and tending towards red for the darker shades. This specimen has spheres measuring about 3/16″. Seen at the Flagg Mineral Show in Mesa, Arizona.
